Катиб Мамедов

Katib Mamedov Safar oglu was born in 1963 in a picturesque corner near the Azerbaijani city of Ganja. He graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Kharkov Art and Industrial Institute.
Later he taught at the faculty.

2013 - Winner of the I.E. Repin International Prize
2008 - Awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of Ukraine"
2008 - Winner of the II Moscow International Festival of Art "Traditions and Modernity" in the nomination "Sculpture. For the experiments in shaping "
2006 - Victory at the "Maestro and his students" in the "Maestro" (Kharkov)
2001 - Diploma of the Kharkov City Council for the creation and donation of Kharkiv sculpture "Fire of Knowledge"
2000 - The winner of the international contest "Golden Palette 2000" in the nomination "Sculpture" (Samara)
1999 - Honorary Diploma of the International «ProArt» Festival (Kiev)

Katib Mamedov works are in museums and private collections in Russia, Ukraine and abroad.
Selected projects:
2006 - presented Kharkiv sculpture "Ellochka-Lyudoedka" - a monument to the heroine of the novel "The Twelve Chairs" by Ilf and Petrov.
2001 - in honor of the 10th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine presented Kharkov monument "Land of Fire."
1998 - the creation of a memorial plaque on the Kharkov plant on the 100th anniversary of M.I. Koshkin.
1997 - creation of the fountain, cascade, exterior decorating "Eaglet" hotel in Moscow.
Exhibitions:
2008-1997 - the constant participant of the annual Moscow International Art Exhibition Art-Manege international art and Art-Salon.
1997-1990 - the constant participant of exhibitions in Kharkov, Baku and Kiev.
